If you’re new to Cpanel and having difficulty installing your favourite CMS – WordPress, Joomla, Magento, Drupal or any other CMS. This is the perfect guide on how to setup your very first website / blog by installing CMS application. With the use of 1-click install software in Cpanel called “Softaculous” or “Softaculous Apps Installer”, installing WordPress or other CMS are now much easier than before. Below is the step-by-step guide to install WordPress CMS on Cpanel.
Login your Cpanel using your username and password. Once login, you will see different section divided, scroll down and look for Software tab and click on “Softaculous”.
You will reach Softaculous screen with all the applications and scripts listed by categories as shown in screenshot below. To install WordPress, mouse over on WordPress icon and click “Install”.
Now you should have entered WordPress installation page. Here you have to choose Domain to install the application. We suggest you leave Database Name as default and change Table_Prefix to your desired name for security purpose.
Next, you need to enter WordPress settings like Site Name, Site Description and the most important setting up username & password for admin login. Check all details and if all correct, click on “Install”.
Wordpress installation progress just takes few seconds. After install successfully, you will get a message saying “Congratulations, the software was installed successfully”,. You’ll be given website URL and admin login page which ends with /wp-admin.
